Start Fundraising for Children

Meeting the health care needs of our children requires more than the participation of doctors, nurses and health care staff.  Whether we’re parents, grandparents, teachers, community leaders or regular citizens, we all have a role to play in ensuring our children’s future.

That’s why people in Wake County and surrounding communities are coming together to help the WakeMed Just for Kids Kampaign raise money for our new children’s hospital. Together, we can meet our $8.5 million goal in 2009 (and $20 million by 2010) and grow the specialist services, facilities and care our children deserve.

You can play a leading role in helping us meet that goal. Take just a few minutes to create your own personal fundraising page. Or, create a team page by combining forces and networks with your friends, community club or colleagues.

Once you’ve created your page, email your friends, family and colleagues and ask them to join you in supporting our community’s new children’s hospital. Whether you’re able to get 5 friends to donate $500 or 20 friends to donate $25, your efforts — when combined with the efforts of people like you who care about children — can add up quickly.
