Would you help us decorate our tree?
The traditional lighting of the Love Light Tree began in 1985 when Dr. Bill and Colleen Lee dedicated a tree to WakeMed in memory of their son, Matthew Lee.
This year, construction of the new patient tower on the WakeMed Raleigh Campus means we cannot hold our traditional tree lighting ceremony.
But we couldn’t let a great tradition go unobserved this year — so we made the Love Light Tree virtual!
We invite you to honor or memorialize as many loved ones as you like with a Love Light Tree gift. Gifts of $100 are Stars, and gifts of $25 or more are Lights. The names of the loved ones you wish to recognize will be placed on the Children Can’t Wait website.
All Love Light Tree gifts will benefit the Just For Kids Kampaign supporting the new WakeMed Children’s Hospital.
Once the Children’s Hospital and new patient tower are completed, a new Love Light Tree will be planted in the Raleigh Campus’s new garden, and it will be lit as part of the tower’s grand-opening ceremonies.
Please make your Love Light Tree gifts and watch the virtual Love Light Tree light up!
